Erasmus+ “Digital Learning: E-Math Learning”

About the project

This project is about finding maths in every place and in the world around us. This project will implement the Erasmus+ program, which will expand education and training systems that will benefit students with maths learning. We would like to share and motivate students to see possibilities that geometry offer, work together and proudly present their work. This project is set to improve our students’ basic and communication skills as well as to integrate and promote the usage of open digital resources in the daily school work. Also we want to make students more interested and motivated to use geometry topics connected with curriculum in contents of real life, surrounding world and expression of personal creativity, as well as to get caught up with all math tasks. We are going to create a digital book and website during the two year of the duration of this project.

AIMS

We want to increase student’s motivation to learn and connect math with other subjects and perspectives. To see math tasks as an applicable part of everyday life, environments, other school subjects and expressing creativity, as well as on unforeseen places.

Also to give opportunity for peers learning, increase language and communication skills, social competences, digital skills, working in teams.

Through opportunity to discover math topics in life and world around them, students will learn more about different aspects of life in countries partners.

Discover the world around us is a world of mathematics.

WORK PROCESS

Students will work on personal and school introductions, presentations.

Their work will be organized according to mathematics topics, they will work in teams, pairs or individually and publish the steps and results of their work in Twinspace by using different applications.

January: Selection of partners, Distribution of tasks, Twinning schools, Project presentation webinars, School presentations, Project poster and logo selection

February: Making research about the importance of learning digital mathematics, making presentations and preparing a board

March: Make creative geometric modelling and presentation on digital geometry board

April: Designing with geometric shapes in Geogebra software program and saving and displaying as pictures

May: Designing digital math game with artificial intelligence.

June: developing and presenting digital learning materials (using artificial intelligence or programming).

At the end of the project, we’ll use survey to check the success of the set goals.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Different forms of presentations student’s investigation, geometry spotting and discovering in everyday life, collaborative work, exposure of work process and deeds (illustrations, showcases, presentations, worksheets, e-books…)

Increasing students motivation, love and interest for math learning, as well as make them learn in different ways, use their knowledge and connect it with other subjects – school or life to make learning interesting.

Improve digital, communication and language skills of students and teachers.

Make educational materials for future use. We will create a website and a digital book about teaching, learning material of digital math learning.
