Corinne Galea
Corinne Galea, the Director and Head of School of Newark School Malta, has been instrumental in leading the school through a transformative journey since 2018. Her background as an ACCA qualified accountant has been crucial in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of the school. Her teaching warrant also enables her to empathise with educators, fostering a balance between academic and operational excellence.
Prior to becoming Director and Head of School, Corinne observed the school’s previous director being elected as the school principal. Taking over this role was both an honour and a challenge for her. Under her leadership, Newark School has not only upheld its standards but also experienced significant growth in student and staff numbers, reflecting the trust and commitment of the community.
Newark School is more than an institution; it’s a legacy that Corinne carries forward, deeply influenced by her mother, Rosanne Galea, who led the school passionately for over 12 years. This familial dedication to education extends beyond Newark. The family also founded Future Focus, providing flexible and high-quality learning opportunities, particularly for adults, women, and mothers.
Balancing her professional responsibilities with the joys and challenges of raising two young children, Corinne brings a unique warmth and understanding to her role, enhancing the nurturing environment at Newark School Malta.
